What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe in the one true and living God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  He is the eternal creator of all things.  He is holy, sovereign, trustworthy, loving, all-powerful, all-wise, transcendent, and immanent.

God created the human race in his image, but due to our sinfulness we are a fallen race in need of salvation and reconciliation with God.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God incarnate, who died on the cross for the sins of the world, and rose from the dead to display His victory over sin and death and evil.  He is the only Savior God has provided.

He ascended into heaven where He reigns as Lord of heaven and earth.  He shall return someday to judge the living and the dead, and take His church (His bride) to live with Him forever.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who quickens our faith, convicts us of sin and reminds us of Christ’s Word.  The Holy Spirit indwells all Christians and produces the character of Christ (Fruits of the Spirit) within us, and grants us ministry tools (Gifts of the Spirit) to build up this Church for its purpose.

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments (Bible) to be the inspired Word of God, revealing more than sufficient knowledge for salvation and God’s will for humankind.

We believe the Bible to be the only authoritative rule of faith and life, and it will never fail those who trust in its promises and obey its commands.

We believe God calls Christians to gather in a local church for mutual love, equipping, edification, encouragement, service, fellowship, prayer, study, accountability, discipline, instruction, and witness.
